Jonatan secured his spot in the final after a challenging victory against India's Lakshya Sen in the semifinal match on Friday, winning in three sets with a score of 21-12, 10-21, 21-15 in 1 hour and 7 minutes. This marks the first time in 30 years that the oldest badminton tournament in the world has witnessed an "All Indonesian Final," harking back to the memorable encounter between Hariyanto Arbi and Ardy Bernardus Wiranata at the All England 1994. With this historic achievement, Indonesia celebrates its first-ever champion in the men's singles sector of the All England Open, breaking a long-standing streak since Hariyanto Arbi's consecutive titles in 1993 and 1994.
