inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A ninth-grade student at Sungai Raya Junior High School 3, West Kalimantan, threw a Molotov cocktail on school grounds on Tuesday (2/3/2026). One student was injured by the blast.

"Yes, there was a victim. The victim is a student and fortunately he is not suffering a major injury," said the spokesperson for the Indonesian National Police's Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-terror unit, Senior Superintendent Mayndra Eka Wardhana, Wednesday (2/4/2026).

Mayndra further explained that evidence was found in the form of six bottles containing fuel oil and cloth wicks (Molotov cocktails), four of which exploded.

"Yes, six were found, and four of them exploded. They expected that when the triggers were pressed, all the bombs would also be triggered, but thank God, it didn't," explained Mayndra.

Mayndra revealed that the child was known to have been exposed to and joined the True Crime Community. The child was also interested in violent content.
