inp.polri.go.id - Boyolali. The Indonesian National Police (INP)'s Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-terror unit, through its Central Java Regional Task Force, held a Seminar and Capacity Building Program at the Darusy Syahadah Islamic Boarding School in Simo District, Boyolali Regency. The program ran until Thursday, February 5, 2026.
This program is part of an empowerment-based prevention approach that emphasizes strengthening the independence of Islamic boarding schools and students, both in terms of human resource capacity and productive economic potential.
The Head of the Central Java Regional Task Force for Densus 88, Senior Superintendent Choirul Anam, stated that the state's presence in Islamic boarding schools is not solely related to security aspects, but also supports community capacity building.
"This activity aims to equip Islamic boarding school students and administrators with practical skills that can support their independence. They will not only acquire religious knowledge but also expertise relevant to economic needs and opportunities," said Choirul Anam.
In its implementation, INP's Densus 88 unit collaborated with the Ministry of Agriculture and elements of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum. The training materials covered various areas of entrepreneurship, including coffee cultivation and processing, barista training, barbershop training, and dairy goat farm management.
According to Choirul Anam, this program is designed as a sustainable, soft approach to strengthen community social resilience, create an inclusive environment, and encourage former terrorist convicts to return to productive roles in society.
"The hope is that Islamic boarding schools and their students can become economically independent, while also strengthening national values and togetherness in community life," he added.
The head of the Darusy Syahadah Islamic Boarding School, Ustadz Qosdi Ridwanullah, welcomed the implementation of the program. He assessed that this program aligns with the needs of Islamic boarding schools to strengthen their business units and the sustainability of their institutions' operations.
"The enthusiasm of the teachers and students was very high. This training provided practical knowledge that can be immediately implemented. This greatly assists our efforts to build Islamic boarding school independence," he said.
