inp.polri.go.id – Cirebon. West Java Regional Police Chief (Kapolda Jabar), Inspector General Drs. Suntana, M.Sc., said that based from the current data, many people have arrived to Jabodetabek. For this reason, he said, the people who already returned early is expected to show its result on the peak day of return flow Eid 2022. "Based on existing data, I see that some people from the Central Java and Bandung areas have returned to Jakarta," explained Kapolda Jabar in Cirebon, Thursday (5/5/22), while reviewing the preparation for the return flow at the rest area of KM 229 toll road, Pejagan-Kanci. He said, with many people who have already arrived in Jabodetabek, it is hoped that later on May 6-8 2022 the traffic flow can be reduced. Because on that date, he continued, it is predicted to be the peak of the return flow for Lebaran 2022, especially vehicles that lead to Jakarta through West Java. The Two-Star General said that on Thursday (5/5/22) many people had also returned earlier, according to the government's recommendation. "The government has advised the people to return early, and I can see from the helicopter that the traffic flow on toll roads and left and right arteries is still safe and under control," said Kapolda Jabar. He hopes that people who will return to Jabodetabek will continue to obey traffic rules so that they can safely arrive at their homes. In addition, he hopes that during this return flow, the traffic can run smoothly like yesterday's homecoming flow, even though there is indeed a bit of congestion, but the traffic still can move. "The government had advised not to return at the peak of the return flow and the people is complied with it. Because of that, now the traffic is not experiencing heavy congestion. We want the return flow to be as smooth as homecoming flow," said the former Lampung Police Chief.
