Mulyatno, S.H., M.M., gave a nationalism insight to the non-commissioned officers and youth enlisted as members of the Mobile Brigade (Brimob) of North Sulawesi Police (Polda Sulut) Satbrimob, Thursday (5/5/22) morning. The briefing took place at the Battalion C Pioneer HQ of Brimob Polda Sulut in Kalasey, Minahasa "National insight is a perspective based on self-awareness as a citizen of a country, about oneself and the environment in the life of the nation and state," said Kapolda Sulut when starting his presentation. On this occasion, he emphasized the four basic consensus of the nation, which is Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. "National values are essentially values that are agreed upon and considered good, which are intrinsically attached to every citizen, in the form of norms and ethics that are contained and characterize the personality of the Indonesian nation originating from Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, NKRI, and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika," explained the Two-Star General. He continued there are three means of Pancasila for the Indonesian people. Namely as a view of life, the philosophical foundation of the nation, and the basis of the state/ideology. As a way of life, Pancasila is excavated from the motherland, rooted as pearls, not artificial elements. Then as the philosophical foundation of the nation, Pancasila is the result of deep reflection, underlying the nation's values of "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika". "And as the basis of the state, Pancasila has been agreed to be the joint guide for the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the source of all sources of law," explained Kapolda Sulut. While the values of Pancasila are religious values, family values, harmony values, populist values, and justice values. He then explained the three values contained in the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. Namely, the value of democracy, the value of equality, and the value of obeying the law. Regarding the third National Consensus, namely the NKRI, he explained there are three values contained in it. Namely, the value of regional unity, the value of national unity, and the value of independence. "Then the fourth Basic Consensus of the Nation is Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Let us further cultivate the values of our nation's plurality of togetherness. Difference is a gift from God Almighty that we must accept and be grateful. Let us unite the determination of integrity towards a developed Indonesia,” said the Two-Star General. On that occasion, he also invited all personnel to improve their discipline and competence. "Discipline is one of the keys to success, both in personal life and in carrying out tasks. Then, increase competence so that you have a competitive advantage. You must be proud to be Brimob as an elite Polri force," concluded Kapolda Jabar when motivating the participants.
