inp.polri.go.id – National Police Chief (Kapolri), General Listyo Sigit Prabowo led the release of the record-breaking attempt for the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) by cycling 508 Kilometers from the Bhayangkara Police Field, South Jakarta to the Semarang Police Academy, Central Java.
This MURI cycling record-breaking attempt is still part of welcoming the 76th Bhayangkara Day which falls on July 1, 2022.
"This activity is to break the MURI record by cycling for 508 km, where the starting point starts at the Bhayangkara Police Field and will end at the Semarang Police Academy," explained Kapolri at the Police Bhayangkara Field, South Jakarta, Saturday (25/6/22).
He stated that this cycling record-breaking activity was attended by 144 participants, ranging from national cyclists, members of the National Police (Polri), Bhayangkari, to the cyclist community in Indonesia. Hundreds of cyclists that have gathered were divided into four teams.
Among them, there were the Garuda and Arjuna teams who became the main team in breaking the MURI record.
Kapoli hoped that this activity could also be an opportunity and a space for national cyclists in preparing themselves to face national and international championship events in the future.
Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo hoped that Indonesian cyclists could continue to make another achievement that could make the Indonesian nation proud.
"We hope that today's activities will enliven the Bhayangkara Day series of activities. We also colaborate with the Indonesian Bicycle Sport Association (ISSI) in preparing and train our athletes to be ready in the next championships," explained Kapolri.
Kapolri also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all participants who took part in the activities in order to welcome the 76th Bhayangkara Day. He hopes that this activity is in accordance with its objectives, one of which is breaking the MURI cycling record.
