Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung.  PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) has announced that the Karawang Station for the Whoosh high-speed train is set to begin operations in early 2025. 

KCIC GM Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa said on Friday (26/7/2024) that the station is currently used for train scheduling, pending the completion of road access projects managed by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, according to antaranews.com.

The new exit ramp from Toll Road kilometer 42 Jakarta-Cikampek will directly connect to the Karawang Station area, with ongoing land acquisition and construction expected to be completed within 2024 as part of a national strategic project.

Access roads from the Trans Heksa Karawang (THK) and Deltamas areas are also nearing the final stages of land acquisition and construction preparation. The station will be linked to major industrial, urban, and commercial areas.

KCIC’s Corporate Communication Manager Emir Monti confirmed that the construction and facilities are complete, with the high-speed train expected to offer punctual services, with travel times from Halim Station to Karawang anticipated to be 10-15 minutes. 

Dynamic pricing will be applied for tickets based on routes, schedules, and operational times.
