In his statement in Makassar on Tuesday (9/2/2025), Fajrin said that safeguarding the city is not only the responsibility of the government and security forces, but also requires awareness and a shared commitment from the community.

"The Jaga Makassar movement must be understood as a collective call. Unity, tolerance, and the use of technology to spread positive messages and counter hoaxes are strategic steps in creating a conducive atmosphere in the city," said Fajrin.

He added that strengthening a sense of nationalism and patriotism among the younger generation is a crucial factor in maintaining social harmony. This way, Makassar can continue to develop into a modern city that upholds the values ​​of togetherness and brotherhood.

"Makassar is our shared home. Our duty is to ensure this home remains safe, peaceful, and provides hope for future generations," he said in his closing statement.
