Inp.polri.go.id – Papua. Alenus Tabuni alias Kobuter who was secured by Damai Cartenz Ops on Sunday February 18th, 2024 is one of the vital members of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB). He is well known for terrorizing the region for years by committing heinous crimes. The Chief of Damai Cartenz Ops, Senior Superintendent Faizal Ramadhani confirmed his arrest in front of Ilaga District Medical Center. Faizal also conveyed that Kobuter was a crucial member of Goliath Tobuni KKB who then joined with Numbuk Telenggen KKB in Puncak Regency. “We can confirm that the Armed Criminal Group, Alenus Tabuni alias Kobuter who we arrested here, was part of Goliath Tobuni KKB, however he is now joining with Numbuk Telenggen KKB from Puncak,” said Faizal. Furthermore, Chief of Damai Cartenz Ops Public Relations, Superintendent Bayu Suseno revealed Kobuter track records in terrorizing the people of Papua such as burning down PT Unggul Basecamp on February 11th, 2021 in Jenggerpaga Village. Other than that, Police also recorded numerous crimes of Kobuter in Puncak Regency, such as: 1. On February 11th, 2021, involved in the burning of PT.Unggul Basecamp in Jenggerpaga Village, Ilaga District. 2. On April 14th, 2021, involved in shooting a motorcycle taxi driver near Eromaga Village Hall, causing the driver named Udin died. 3. On April 24th, 2021, involved in assaulting Gome District head, Nius Tabuni. 4. On May 3rd, 2021, involved in shooting Indonesian Military Force in Undome Village, fortunately the soldier survived. 5. On May 9th, 2021, involved in burning a tourism building around Aminggaru Airport. 6. On May 11th, 2021, Kobter was about burned a truck used by military and police around Aminggaru, however it was canceled for the truck has moved. 7. On June 3rd, 2021, involved in shooting Habel Alengpen, causing him to loss his life. 8. On June 3rd, 2021, after shooting a civilian, Kobuter involved in damaging and burning a civilian house and several public facilities in Aminggaru Airport. 9. On August 16th, 2021, involved in gunfight with Indonesian Military Force in Welenggaru Village. 10. On August 18th, 2021, involved in gun fight with Indonesian Military Force in Mundidok Village and Tuanggi Village. 11. On February 4th, 2024, involved in gun fight with Indonesian Military Force and Indonesian National Police around PT. Unggul, in Jenggerpaga Village. “Other criminal actions committed by Kobuter was supporting KKB leader, Numbuk Telenggen, by providing ammunitions and guns during a gun fight, and securing ammunitions and guns,” conclude Bayu.
