Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Chief of General Election Commission (KPU) Hasyim Asy’ari announced that his party limit the campaign team attending the debate to only 50 people. The limitation was to anticipate mass crowding around the debate arena. “We are coordinating with the police in managing the security of the debate which would be attended by volunteers and supporters of each candidates,” quote Hasyim during a press conference on Thursday (12/7/2023). During the debate, KPU have designed the blueprints for the presidential and vice-presidential candidate debates for 2024 General Election. The debates would be split into three for presidential debate and two for vice-presidential debate. “The topics or the theme of the first debate would be for the presidential candidate, which would cover the topics of government, law, human rights, and graft eradication. Then followed with, the effort of strengthening democracy, improving public service, and preserving public harmony,” reveal Hasyim. Here are the list for 2024 General Election themes and schedules: 1. Debate I, December 12th, 2023: Law, Human Rights, Government, Eradicating Corruption, and Strengthening Democracy. 2. Debate II, December 22nd, 2023: Defense, Security, Geopolitics and International Relations. 3. Debate III, January 7th, 2024: Economy (Popular and Digital), Social Welfare, Investment, Trade, Tax (Digital), Finance, APBN and APBD Management, Infrastructure. 4. Debate IV, January 21st, 2024: Energy, Natural Resources, SMN, Food, Carbon Tax, Environment, Agrarian Affairs and Indigenous Peoples. 5. Debate V, February 4th, 2024: Information Technology, Improving Public Services, Hoaxes, Intolerance, Education, Health (Post-COVID Society), and Employment. (ad/ndt/hn/nm)
