Inp.polri.go.id – Kuningan. Kuningan Sub-regional Police have determined 18 suspects on assault against a student which killed the victim.
“We have determined six suspects on the case and they have been secured in Kuningan Sub-regional Police HQ as they are already considered as adults. Meanwhile, other 12 suspects are still minor and now being monitored constantly as we coordinate with related parties,” says Kuningan Sub-regional Police Chief, Police Superintendent Willy Andrian on Wednesday (12/6/2023).
In his statement, Willy explains that the case is still being investigated intensively, which led the identity of the victim nor the suspect still unrevealed. However, he ensures the legal process of the case is still very much on-going as the institution aims to deliver justice.
Willy told that the incident happened on Thursday, November 31st, 2023 at islamic boarding school in Kuningan. Police immediately dispatched and secured all suspects to further investigate the case.
Initial investigation reveals that the suspects assault the victim after accusing him stealing an item, which was never been proven.
“For what we know for now, the motive of the case is because the victim allegedly stolen an item. However, we would never suggest you to take the law into your own hands, let alone commit criminal acts such as assaulting,” Willy said.
Moreover, Willy reveals that the victim suffered bruises in several parts of his body.
Kuningan Sub-regional Police Chief suggest the teachers to constantly monitor their students, and show them examples on how to be a good person.
On that occasion, Willy also remind others to immediately report any disturbances, disruptions, or criminal acts instead of taking matters to their own hand as it is not permissible by the law.
In his conclusion, the police chief stressed that his party would uncover the case to its roots.
