inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Members of Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU) Idham Holik remind the elected legislative members who run for the 2024 Regional Head Election must first resign.

“Every elected legislative candidate who runs for the election must resign themselves,” says Idham on Tuesday (9/10/2024).

He explains that this appeal is referring to the KPU Regulation Number 8 of 2024 About Governor and Vice Governor, Regent and Vice Regent, and Major and Vice Mayor Nomination.

Idham notes that so far all legislative election candidates who run for the election has offered their resignation letter, although he didn’t detail the number of the candidates.

“Indeed, yes (all elected legislative candidates have offered their resignation letter),” says Idham.
