The Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU) says that they will announce the 2024 General Election recapitulation result after breaking the fast, or around 18.06 pm local time, Wednesday (3/20/2024). In the meantime, member of KPU August Mellaz, says that KPU will completed several legislative election vote recapitulations first. Then, followed with the vote recapitulation of the two provinces left, Papua Mountains and Papua. Furthermore, August Mellaz states that the determination of the 2024 election results will be determined in a decree (SK). “We probably need more time to check and study the documents required, as was stated by the KPU Chair last night at the doorstop with our media colleagues. We would publish the decree as a whole for the election results determination” says Mellaz. According to the national election vote recapitulation results from KPU on Monday (3/18/2024), the candidate pair of Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka has 427,871 votes in 128 Overseas Election Committee. Then followed by Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar with 125,110 votes and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD in the last place with 118,385 votes. (ad/inp/pr/nm)
