Inp.polri.go.id - Cilacap. The joint Search and Rescue (SAR) team on Sunday(16/11/2025) recovered the body of another victim from the devastating landslide in Cibeunying Village, Majenang District, Cilacap, Central Java.
The victim, identified as Kasrinah (47), was found buried under thick landslide debris at Worksite A-2 at 12.03 pm local time.
“After this discovery, three people remain missing in Worksite A-2, and we will continue the search according to the operational plan,” said Cilacap SAR Chief Muhammad Abdullah, as cited by antaranews.com.
Rescue efforts on day four of operations are focused on sectors A and B, covering Worksites A-1, A-2, B-1, and B-2. Five people are still being searched for in the Cibuyut hamlet area, while six remain missing in Tarukahan hamlet.
Abdullah said the massive deployment includes 21 excavators, 17 compressor tools, nine search dogs, and more than 600 personnel to speed up the search process.
The landslide, which struck on Thursday evening, buried houses across two hamlets, affecting 46 residents. As many as 23 survived, two were confirmed dead, and 21 were initially reported missing.
The disaster damaged 12 homes, threatened 16 more, and caused ground subsidence as deep as two meters with a 25-meter-long crack. As of Sunday afternoon, 11 victims remain unaccounted for.
