Inp.polri.go.id - Yogyakarta. Indonesian mixed doubles shuttlers Bobby Setiabudi and Melati Daeva Oktavianti secured the BNI Indonesia International Challenge 2025 title after a hard-fought all-Indonesian final in Yogyakarta on Sunday (16/11/2025).
The top-seeded pair defeated compatriots Renaldi Samosir and Masita Mahmudin in a three-game battle, winning 17–21, 21–11, 21–16.
“Every match against them is tough. The head-to-head is now 2–2, and today was also very tight. Luckily, in the third game we stayed consistent, focused, and steady until the end,” Melati said in a statement distributed, as reported by antaranews.com.
SHe noted their opponents applied the same strategy throughout the match, allowing her and Bobby to break momentum by neutralizing Renaldi and Masita’s aggression. Bobby, however, admitted he was not fully satisfied with his performance despite the title win, saying there was “a lot to learn and improve.”
The duo now set their sights on qualifying for higher-tier BWF events, including Super 100 and Super 300 tournaments, with an ambition to break into the world’s top 30 next year.
