inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo led a cross-sectoral coordination meeting to prepare for service and security for Operation Ketupat 2026. He emphasized the need to optimize security and services during the Eid homecoming and return travel.
"Therefore, preparations and security must be implemented optimally. The same applies to the services provided," said Sigit at the PTIK in South Jakarta, Monday (3/2/2026).
Sigit stated that the largest number of vehicles during this year's homecoming travel is predicted to come from West Java, Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek), and East Java.
Sigit explained that to ensure security and service during the homecoming travel, the police are conducting Operation Ketupat from March 13 to March 25.
"And this time's tagline is 'Safe Homecoming and Happy Families.' Of course, we're prioritizing preemptive and preventive measures, along with law enforcement. We're striving to minimize the impact, so this truly serves as a humanitarian service," said Sigit.
Sigit said that at least 161,000 joint personnel from the Indonesian National Military (TNI), INP, and all stakeholders will be deployed to secure and serve the Eid homecoming flow.
"And of course, we hope for maximum cooperation for the success of both the homecoming and return flow services," Sigit concluded.
