Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Inspector General Chryshnanda Dwilaksana, the Head of Staff and Command Course of Education and Training Institutions (Kasespim Lemdiklat), took a creative initiative to welcome the 2024 political year by organizing a caricature exhibition at Pakuwon Mall Surabaya and Tunjungan Plaza Mall on September 8th-10th, 2023.
Themed 'Gitu Aja Kok Repot, Politik Mesem, Adem Ayem,' the exhibition provided a platform for renowned Indonesian cartoonists and caricaturists to showcase their diverse perspectives. He emphasized that these artistic works serve as a reminder of the need for a collective understanding in embracing the 2024 elections.
He posits that elections, within a democratic society, represent a cultural festival and a pivotal mechanism for determining leadership succession.
"Spanning both old and new pieces, they all resonate with the spirit of welcoming the 2024 elections. This collective understanding is essential, as elections embody a cultural celebration within a democratic society, signifying the transition of leadership," he said on Monday (11/9/23).
Furthermore, he extended an open invitation to all stakeholders to maintain a positive political disposition. This entails consistently projecting a smiling demeanor ('mesem') and fostering a serene and harmonious political climate ('adem ayem').
The exhibition served as a testament to the creative prowess of Indonesian cartoonists and caricaturists, including GM Sudarta, Pramono R Pramoedjo, Itok Isdiyanto, Thomas Lionar, Non-o (Sudi Purwono), Anwar Rosyid, and Gatot Eko Cahyono (Gatote).
