The Executive Director of Lemkapi Edi Saputra appreciates the North Sumatra Police Chief, Inspector General Agung Setya Imam Effendi and Regional Military Commander of North Sumatra, Major General Mohamad Hasan, who raids the gambling and drugs lair in Tanjung Pamah, Medan. He hopes that the North Sumatra Police and Military would secure and free the village from drugs. “On yesterday raid, police did not arrest any suspects but confiscated dozens of evidences including 21 gambling machines, 3 kg of marijuana, dozens of syringes, and a katana,” said Edi Hasibuan quoted from JPPN, Wednesday (11/8/2023). He states that the region has long been a nuisance for North Sumatra. According to him, the location often used as the lair for illegal gambling and drug smuggling. The Chiefs of North Sumatra Police and Military who sees the threat of this region then decides to raid the place by deploying huge forces. “We hope that this location could be continuously maintained by North Sumatra Police and Military force from the dangers of gambling and drugs,” conclude Edi.
