Inp.polri.go.id - Medan.  The ongoing voting process in North Sumatra  has garnered appreciation from  local residents due to the safe and conducive situation prevailing during the elections. For the residents, the role of the Indonesian Military and the Indonesian National Police (INP) members has been crucial in the success of the voting process. Arman, a local resident, said that this election, including the campaign period that usually sparks tensions, felt safer and more peaceful for him. "So far, from the campaign period until now, nothing serious has happened," he said on Wednesday (14/2/2024). Arman suggested that the military and the police forces deserved gratitude for their hard work in anticipating various risks. "I want to express my gratitude to the police who have worked hard in the days leading up to this election to ensure its peaceful conduct," he said. Echoing Arman's sentiments, Azizah expressed her happiness that everything was orderly since the morning when she arrived at the polling station. Moreover, there were no disturbances until the end of the voting process. "Thank you to the police and everyone else who has worked diligently wherever they are in Indonesia because they have fulfilled their duties well," she said. (mg/ay/pr/nm)
