Vice Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor emphasized that the National Internship Program, or MagangHub, is a strategic platform for university graduates to hone the competencies needed by the workforce while bridging the gap between graduates' abilities and industry needs.
He stated that the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation have rapidly changed the employment landscape. Therefore, the learning system cannot simply focus on mastering theory; it also needs to provide hands-on practical experience in the workplace.
"Through MagangHub, participants not only gain competency strengthening in their field of expertise but also hone various skills increasingly in demand in the workforce, such as communication skills, leadership, creativity, digital literacy, emotional intelligence, and work ethic," Afriansyah explained on Friday (6/2/2026).
He explained that the National Internship Program is designed to prepare university graduates to be better prepared to enter the job market with competencies that align with the needs of the business and industrial world.
"This program is designed to prepare university graduates to be better prepared to enter the job market with competencies that align with industry needs," said Afriansyah.
The government, Afriansyah adds, continues to strengthen the quality of the National Internship Program by expanding access for professional education graduates, providing competency certification benefits through the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP), and strengthening partnerships with the business and industrial sectors.
"Let's make internships a joint movement to produce a competent, productive, and character-based Indonesian workforce that is ready to face future challenges," he said.
