inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto ordered the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu'ti to immediately form a team to study and re-evaluate the textbooks currently used by schools.

President Prabowo issued this order during a two-hour-long closed meeting at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Thursday (6/11/2026). The meeting also included Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

"He (Abdul Mu’ti) was tasked (by the President) with forming a team as soon as possible to study textbooks for all our students, which must be adapted to current developments and technological advancements," explained Prasetyo Hadi on Friday (6/12/2026).

He explained that President Prabowo highlighted various issues related to education during the meeting, from infrastructure and school revitalization to teacher welfare.

"I want to emphasize that during the nearly two-hour discussion, the government and the President were truly concerned about education issues, both regarding infrastructure and improving teacher welfare and quality," he continued.

On the other hand, Minister Abdul Mu'ti explained the issues he reported to President Prabowo, including progress on school revitalization, teacher welfare and quality improvement, the distribution of smart whiteboards (IFP), and the implementation of integrated schools.

He stated that 11,744 educational units were allocated for revitalization by 2026.

"The 2026 revitalization project has already begun. Seventy percent of the 11,744 allocated schools have been completed, and work has begun. Some will even be completed in July and August and inaugurated for the start of the 2026-2027 school year," explained Abdul.

According to him, the community is feeling the benefits of the revitalization, considering that many schools have been damaged and not renovated for decades.
