Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A magnitude 4.0 earthquake struck the Boalemo Regency, Gorontalo, in the early hours of Tuesday (28/7/2026).

According to the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the earthquake occurred at approximately 3.58 am. The epicenter was located at coordinates 0.24 North Latitude and 122.32 East Longitude, roughly 32 kilometers southwest of Boalemo, Gorontalo.

BMKG reported that the earthquake originated at an intermediate depth of 205 kilometers below the Earth's surface.

"Information prioritizes speed; thus, processing results are subject to change as complete data becomes available," BMKG said in an official advisory issued on its social media channels.

No immediate damage or casualties were reported following the deep-focus seismic event. Authorities continue to monitor conditions and encourage local communities to remain informed through official BMKG announcements.
