Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A magnitude 4.1 earthquake struck the southwest region of Bandung Regency, West Java, on Tuesday afternoon (4/8/2026). The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that the seismic activity was detected at 3.55 pm.

According to data released by BMKG, the epicenter was located at coordinates 7.84° South Latitude and 107.25° East Longitude, approximately 95 kilometers southwest of Bandung Regency. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 23 kilometers.

BMKG noted that early reporting prioritizes delivery speed and that preliminary data processing may undergo adjustments as additional observational data becomes available. No immediate structural damage or casualties were reported following the tremor.
