Inp.polri.go.id - Majalengka. The Majalengka Sub-regional Police, the Majalengka Regency administration and local leadership (Forkopimda) launched a clean water distribution initiative on Friday (14/8/2026) to assist residents suffering from seasonal drought.

The social service activity commenced with an official send-off ceremony at the Majalengka Police Headquarters led by Majalengka Police Chief Superintendent M Aldy Sulaiman and Deputy Regent Dena Muhammad Ramdhan. 

"This clean water distribution represents the active presence of the police force and local government in supporting residents experiencing severe water shortages due to the dry season," said Chief  Aldy.

Water tanker trucks were flagged off to deliver supplies to three hard-hit villages: Bantrangsana Village in Panyingkiran District, Heuleut Village in Kadipaten District, and Surawangi Village in Jatiwangi District.

Local residents queued with buckets and containers to collect clean water for daily household needs. Organizers noted that the humanitarian outreach was also conducted to celebrate Indonesia's upcoming 81st Independence Day while reinforcing inter-agency cooperation with the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) to monitor other drought-prone areas across Majalengka Regency.
