Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (inp) prepared 260 support personnel to reinforce crisis response operations following the magnitude 7.7 earthquake in Flores, East Nusa Tenggara.

The initial deployment commenced following a roll-call assembly at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Cargo Terminal on Saturday night (15/8/2026).

An initial contingent of 137 officers was dispatched in the first phase, comprising 101 Mobile Brigade (Brimob) SAR officers, 14 DVI and medical specialists, 9 Public Relations officers, 3 Logistics Division officers, and 10 Internal Affairs (Propam) officers. Additional officers, including K9 search units, are scheduled for subsequent departure from Pondok Cabe airport in South Tangerang.

"Our top priority is ensuring public safety, conducting evacuations, providing aid to victims, and meeting immediate needs on the ground," said INP Head of Public Relations Division Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir in Jakarta.

The iNP headquarters sent a Company-Level Unit (SSK) of Brimob SAR from the Pioneer Force equipped with search gear and field doctors.
