inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Manpower appeals to the public to beware of the job employment scam. The Secretary General of the Manpower Ministry, Anwar Sanusi, says that there are many reports of the scam using the guise of employment.

“We continue to remind the public to be careful in receiving information relating to job employment, particularly those through online platforms or social media,” says Anwar Sanusi on Thursday (10/10/2024).

He explains that the most commonly used scam method is fake employment that claims to be part of renowned companies, both national or international.

The perpetrators of these frauds, he said, often use logos, names and fake information to convince their victims to apply for the vacancies.

Other common methods are those who asked for administration, training or accommodation fees as a requirement to proceed to the next candidate worker selection process.

"Never give anything to get a job. If forced to pay, immediately report it to the authorities or the Ministry of Manpower reporting channel," explained the Secretary General of the Ministry of Manpower.

Previously, the Ministry of Manpower said that it had taken steps to form a Job Vacancy Hoax Handling Task Force to address fake job vacancies.

The Ministry of Manpower has also established a Job Vacancy Hoax Prevention Post that can be accessed through various channels, such as the call center, WhatsApp, website, and the Ministry of Manpower's official social media as the main preventive measure.
