inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) has successfully boosted village economic growth, while simultaneously improving student attendance and achievement.
"School attendance has increased, and academic achievement has also improved. As of today, there are 5,800 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) in 38 provinces, which are driving economic growth in villages," said President Prabowo at the 2025 Annual Session of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) at the Nusantara Building, Jakarta, Friday (8/15/2025).
In addition to improving the nutrition of 82 million children and pregnant women, President Prabowo said, the MBG has also created 290,000 new jobs in rural areas and stimulated the agriculture, fisheries, livestock, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) sectors in the regions.
The support of various parties, from the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) to the Indonesian National Military (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (INP), community organizations, and cooperatives, is considered key to the program's success.
President Prabowo emphasized that the MBG Program is not just a social program, but a long-term strategy for developing superior human resources.
"We must acknowledge that our nation has the capability if there is a will and collective work," said President Prabowo.
