Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. General Election Commission (KPU) of Jakarta gives a chance to mentally disabled to cast their vote in 2024 General Election. According to Jakarta KPU, there are 8,252,897 voters listed for 2024 General Election. Among the millions of voters, 61,747 of them are the disabled with 22,871 mentally disabled individuals. "In Jakarta, we will also provide services to the mentally challenged to cast their vote in 2024 General Election," says member of Data and Information Division of Jakarta KPU Fahmi Zikrillah on Tuesday (12/12/2023) Fahmi states that the mentally disabled people will be given a chance so that their vote of rights would be accounted. KPU ensures they would provide a guidance to the disabled at the voting location on February 14th, 2024. "For example, there is a mentally challenged person, who is undergoing treatment, that has been listed in Cipayung voting location," says Fahmi. "TPS yang berada di kawasan Cipayung itu [Panti Sosial Bina Laras] terdapat pemilih yang sedang menjalankan perawatan dan rehabilitasi untuk ODGJ," jelas Anggota Fahmi. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
