Inp.polri.go.id – Central Java. Central Java Regional Police Chief of Medical Field implores the public to be aware with Covid-19 during holiday season. Senior Superintendent dr. Sumy Hastry Purwanti reveals there is an uprising trend in Covid-19 of ERIS variant patients for the last several weeks. "This variant is a derivative of the previous variant with high level transmission," says dr. Sumy on Tuesday (12/12/2023). The medical field chief states the variant has mild symptoms such as cough, fever, nausea and vomiting. Sumy implores public not to underestimate the new variants especially the vulnerable groups who have history of congenital disease as she appealed to the public to re-implement the Covid-19 health protocol. "For those who experienced the symptoms, please always wear your masks, do not go near a crowd, and go to the doctor for proper treatment," implore dr. Sumy. (ad/ri/pr/nm)
