Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police have issued a ban on all activities that could potentially disrupt the peaceful observance of the holy month of Ramadan.
"We prohibit various activities that may disturb the tranquility of fasting, such as brawls, 'sahur on the road', illegal racing, and the use of firecrackers," Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi, the Head of Public Relations for the Metro Jaya Police, said on Monday (11/3/2024).
He explained that the Metro Jaya Police, in collaboration with local law enforcement agencies, the military, and the Jakarta administration, will heighten patrol activities during Ramadan to ensure a secure environment and maintain public order.
"We are fully prepared to secure community activities by increasing appeals, educational initiatives, patrols, and law enforcement against violators," Chief Ade said.
He assured the public that their officers are available round the clock to provide assistance and support.
"Our officers are on duty 24/7 and stand ready to serve the public. Additionally, the public can reach out to us at 110 (toll-free) if they require assistance," Chief Ade added, expressing hope for public support and cooperation in maintaining a secure environment during Ramadan.
