Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police has set up a special task force, the Traffic Security, Safety, Order, and Flow Task Force to provide a rapid response to severe traffic congestion along Gatot Subroto Road.

“This task force will help mitigate the traffic jams on Gatot Subroto,” said Traffic Directorate Operations Chief Senior Inspector Robby Hefados on Thursday (25/9/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

The unit consists of three rotating teams assigned to manage traffic engineering measures and direct motorists to alternative toll gates, such as Semanggi 2 and Kuningan 2. The task force began operating Thursday at 3 pm and will continue until conditions stabilize.

Congestion worsened after state toll road operator PT Jasa Marga closed Semanggi 1 toll gate for repairs from 24 September to 10 October 2025. The closure caused bottlenecks from Semanggi in South Jakarta to Slipi in West Jakarta. 

Police urged drivers to consider other toll routes, including Wiyoto Wiyono, Depok–Antasari, and JORR.
