Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Ahead of Eid al-Fitr homecoming season in 2024, Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police will enforce an odd-even traffic management scheme, Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto said.
He explained that this scheme would be in effect from Friday (5/4/2024) to Monday (8/4/2024).
"The odd-even system will start at 2 pm," he said.
According to information provided by the @tmcpoldametro Instagram account, the odd-even system during the homecoming rush will apply on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, from kilometer 0 0 to Kalikangkung in Semarang, Central Java, or kilometer 414.
For 5 to 7 April 2024, the system will be enforced from 2 to 12 pm, and for 8 April 2024, from 8: am 12 pm.
During the return journey, the odd-even system will apply from kilometer 414 to kilometer 0, on 12 April 2024, from 2 to 12 pm. Then on April 13 2024, from 8 to 12 am, and 14 to 16 April 2024, from 2 to 8 pm.
"Hopefully, the public will strictly adhere to the odd-even rule, meaning if your license plate ends in an odd number, travel on odd dates. If you prefer even dates, then travel on even dates," Chief Karyoto said.
