In welcoming the peaceful election, the Metro Sub-regional Police of Lampung, along with the Regional leadership coordination forum, regional General Election Commission chair, and related stakeholders launched 2024 Election Peaceful Regency in Seger Market, East Yosorejo Metro neighborhood, Friday (2/9/2024). Police Superintendent Heri Sulistyo Nugroho says the launching could hopefully prevent any conflicts during the 2024 General Election as it is nearing its climax. Peaceful election is a goal that requires participation from all state elements and society. The Indonesian National Police is committed to maintain conductivity and security ahead of elections. “We have to uphold unity and respect differences of opinion for a peaceful election,” said Heri. The inauguration of the election peaceful regency marked with the sound of gong hit by the police chief five times with refer to five regencies in Metro City. “With the formation of these election peaceful regencies, hopefully it could continue to uphold unity and state peace above personal or group interes,” conclude Heri.
