inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Meutya Viada Hafid, expressed her appreciation for Garuda Spark Bandung's achievements in developing local startups. 

She made this statement during her keynote speech at the West Java Digital Ecosystem Report event at the Garuda Sparks Innovation Hub in Bandung.

She explained that Garuda Spark Bandung, an initiative of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, has had a tangible impact on local startup development. 

Since its launch in September 2025, Garuda Spark Bandung has been able to support the development of 10 local startups.

Meutya revealed that the 10 local startups were successfully curated and developed through collaboration between communities, universities, global partners, and the government. 

She believes this initiative provides a solution to the complex challenges facing the domestic startup industry.

"Garuda Spark has been running in Bandung for three months. Ten startups have been assisted, curated, and developed jointly by the Ministry of Communication and Digital Technology, Startup Bandung, Alkademi, and international partners such as NUS Singapore," she said, as reported by RRI on Monday (1/5/2026).

Meanwhile, the President of the Alkademi Foundation, Dyah R. Helmi also expressed her appreciation for Garuda Spark's presence in Bandung. 

She stated that Garuda Spark's presence opens up a space for the community to learn and develop digital businesses.

Dyah explained that this is especially important in the face of the highly dynamic development of digital technology. Helmi also believes that Garuda Spark will be able to attract the younger generation to enter the domestic digital industry.

"With Garuda Spark, people can learn about digital business and the global ecosystem at any time. Everything is open and free for Bandung residents," she said.
