Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Human Rights Natalius Pigai said on Thursday (8/5/2025) that the education program for troubled students in military barracks, initiated by West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, could be applied nationwide if successful.

“If Jawa Barat succeeds, then in accordance with the authority held by the Ministry of Human Rights, we will recommend to the Minister of Education to issue regulations so that this model can be implemented on a massive scale across Indonesia,” he said, as reported by antaranews.com

Governor Dedi Mulyadi assured that the program, which lasts about 28 days, helps troubled students improve discipline and provides a better learning environment. 

Students will continue their formal education, and the West Java Office of the Ministry of Human Rights will monitor the program to ensure no human rights violations occur.
