Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto reaffirmed a zero-tolerance policy on Tuesday r(14/4/2026) egarding all forms of violence following reports of harassment at the Universitas Indonesia’s Faculty of Law.
"Universities must be safe, dignified, and high-integrity spaces; therefore, we emphasize there is no tolerance for any form of violence on campus,"he said during a press briefing reported by antaranews.com.
The Ministry is currently coordinating with UI officials to ensure investigations adhere to Regulation No. 55 of 2024. This framework mandates that universities protect victims from physical, verbal, and digital abuse while providing psychological recovery services. Minister Brian confirmed he is personally monitoring the university’s task force to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the process.
Furthermore, the Minister highlighted that if criminal elements are discovered, the case will be processed under the Sexual Violence Crimes Law. The government encourages the academic community to utilize official reporting channels, including the 126 call center, to report incidents, ensuring that campus culture remains inclusive and free from discrimination or intimidation.
