inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian Minister of Communication and Information, Budi Arie Setiadi, launched two books that tell about the development of digital technology in Indonesia. The books are entitled 'A Decade of Indonesia's Digital Development 2014-2024' and 'Horizon of Indonesia's Digital Development 2025-2030'.

He revealed that the launch of the two books was a moment of reflection on the 10-year journey of digital development during the tenure of President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo. In his remarks, Minister Budi said that President Jokowi has committed to placing Indonesia on the path of sustainable development.

"Indonesia-centric was promoted by President Jokowi when he began leading the development of this nation 10 years ago," he said on Thursday (10/10/2024).

He added that laying the foundation to realize an advanced Indonesia is encouraged in every line, in various ways, which can be felt by many.

The first book, 'A Decade of Indonesia's Digital Development 2014-2024', presents comprehensive documentation related to the progress of Indonesia's digital ecosystem. The contents cover various aspects such as internet speed and coverage as well as the development of penetration service levels.

Meanwhile, the second book, 'Horizon Pembangunan Digital Indonesia 2025-2030', aims to identify challenges amidst the rapid digital transformation. This book contains 13 writings by experts, academics, and practitioners regarding thoughts to overcome the country's problems in the future.

The author explores various policies and ideas that are expected to inspire the next government. Especially in formulating the right steps to improve digital development throughout Indonesia.

"This book narrates these strategic agendas by presenting Indonesia's leading thoughts," he explained.

According to him, the challenges faced in the future are certainly those that have been experienced over the past decade.

At the end of the opportunity, he emphasized that digital transformation will be the main driver of national growth. He hopes that these two books can be a reference to encourage inclusive, empowering, and trusted digital development.
