inp.polri.go.id - A man with the initials of AS was scammed and extorted by a prostitute in an apartment at Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta.

The Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relations Division, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi says that previously the two agreed to meet after negotiating in a dating app.

“The victim ordered the prostitute, AJ, through the MiChat app. Both parties reached an agreement on the booking rate of IDR 200,000,” says Ade on Thursday (10/10/2024).

However, upon arriving at the designated address, AS was approached by a man with the initials of D and his group. D was attempting to extort AS for IDR 1.7 million.

The Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Regional Police added that the victim who felt aggrieved then filed a police report. Currently, the extortion case is being investigated by the Cempaka Putih Sector Police.
