Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi says traffic accidents during 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year Eve decreased 39%. The number based on traffic flow of December 18th-25th, 2023. "The good news is there is a decrease of 39% than last year. I just got the news from Jasa Raharja based on traffic data of December 18th-25th, 2023," says Minister Budi Karya on Monday (12/25/2023). However, the number of traffic accident still could go up if there is a bus traffic accident, which he then reminds the bus qualification. Moreover, Budi Karya also reminds to busses who are under-qualified and prone to accidents are best not to be used. "Even more riskful if they went to Dieng or to high-lands such as Tawangmangu.
