inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Minister of Communication and Digital of the Republic of Indonesia, Meutya Hafid, stated that the media plays a crucial role in overseeing the government's priority programs, including the People's School (SR) program.
According to her, information regarding the People's School must be accurately conveyed to the public. She continued, explaining that current digital technology developments make it easy to spread inaccurate information.
"Amidst the rise of disinformation and hoaxes, the public must receive accurate information. We urge our colleagues in the mass media, especially in Central Java, to continue reporting truthful information to the public," she said in a media briefing titled "Breaking Boundaries Through People's Schools," as reported by RRI on Sunday (7/20/2025).
Minister Meutya Hafid assured that the Ministry of Communication and Digital will continue to fulfill its role as a liaison between the government and the media, particularly in strengthening information on priority government programs and maintaining public feedback on government programs.
"It's impossible for every program to be created, born, and perfect from the start; there's bound to be input. That's the media's role: to convey or act as a public space for input on government programs," he explained.
