Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Minister of Religion, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas wished Christians and Catholics a happy Ascension Day of Jesus Christ on Thursday (9/5/24).

“Happy Ascension Day of Jesus Christ for the Christians and Catholics commemorating it. There are always good values in every religious commemoration day,” said Minister Yaqut on Thursday (5/9/2024).

“I hope you could get the deepest meaningful value on this Jesus’s Ascension Day,” continued Yaqut.

According to him, the teachings of Jesus are full of service and universal friendship values. The Ascension of Jesus Christ should motivate Christians and Catholics to continue serving each other and knot a stronger unity amid diversity,

“I saw that this year’s Ascension Day of Jesus Christ becomes an integral moment for the Christians to further strengthen their bond, especially after the General Election,” adds Yaqut.

Furthermore, Yaqut stressed that Indonesia needs an active role and contribution from all parties in building and developing the country. He hopes people could preserve the state's unity and further develop the state to a better future.
