Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of State Secretariat Prasetyo Hadi said on Sunday (27/10/2024) that providing official residences for ministers in the Red and White Cabinet is not currently a priority.

He emphasized that having accommodations is not an urgent matter, as their role as ministers is to serve, not to seek housing.

“I don't think it is something urgent. Being a minister is about serving, not about looking for a house,” the minister said.

He indicated that while the establishment of ministerial residences is not an immediate concern, it could still be realized given the lengthy duration of the current cabinet until 2029.

“As we move forward, we will manage it, but it is not something that is essential or expected by the ministers,” Minister Prasetyo explained.

Despite this stance, he acknowledged that the state mandates the provision of official residences for ministers. As such, the Ministry of State Secretariat will conduct an inventory of the available facilities.

“That is the regulation; however, once again, I want to stress that we might inventory and review the situation, especially since most ministers already live in Jakarta,” he added.
