Inp.polri.go.id - Medan. After disappearing for three days in Aek Beringin Jungle, the Joint Search and Rescue Team finally found the man from Bandar Durian.

The Class A Search and Rescue Office official of Medan, Mustari, says the person was found in safe condition, 4 kilometers from the location where he was lost.

“The person in question was found safe on Saturday (9/12/2024) at 19.30 am near the foot of Mount Tiam, about 4 kilometers from the initial location where he went missing," Mustari said on Sunday (10/13/2024).

In his statement, Mustari explains that the man was first lost after he went to work on Wednesday (10/9/2024) at a palm oil plantation company guarding the company's border post.

However, the man, who had a mild stroke, did not return to his home until his family reported to the police about his disappearance.

“The family and locals searched for him until morning, to no success. The family then report the case to Tanjung Balai Asahan Search and Rescue office,” said Mustari.

Receiving the report, Mustari explains that the Search and Rescue unit divides their team into two and immediately searches for the man.

Mustari furthermore explains that the first team conducted the search by following the path around the location. Meanwhile, the second team searched the man in a wide area around the location where the man was last seen.

"Until finally yesterday night the man was found safe and has been handed over by the family," Mustari concluded.
