The Vice Head of Indonesian Council of Ulama (MUI) Marsudi Syuhud invites people to remain calm and awaits for the official results of the election from the 2024 General Election Commission. “Our stance is clear and we invite the people of Indonesia to be patient and wait for the official announcement from the government,” said Marsudi on Friday (2/16/2024). Furthermore, Marsudi also invites religious, cultural, and local figures to also voiced peaceful messages and be the voice to drive the people in maintaining security, safety, and harmony Marsudi also reminds people to not incite any violence or riots while awaiting for the official vote recapitulations. Moreover, Marsudi invites people to act wisely in social relationships by respecting differences in opinion. “You may have different opinions on some political issues, however remember that we are still one, we should look into one another with a sense of affection.
