The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through their National Capital City Infrastructure Development Implementation Task Force reports that the infrastructure for the Istana Negara in Nusantara National Capital City (IKN) has reached 55% per February 8th, 2024. “Istana Negara, ceremonial field and the Istana building complex in IKN, the physical infrastructure of those have reached 55%,” said the Head of the Task Force, Danis Sumadilaga on Friday (2/16/2024). Furthermore, the ministry ensures that the construction will continue to reach its target which is able to be utilized for the Indonesian 79th Independence Day on August 17th, 2024. It is worth noting that the Commemoration of Indonesian 79th Independence Day Ceremony on August 17th, 2024 will be held in IKN. This also marks the shifting of the Indonesian capital city from Jakarta to IKN. The ceremony will be held in the field of Istana Kepresidenan which sits exactly in front-of Istana Presiden and the national axis as well as landscape views of the entire city of IKN. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
