inp.polri.go.id - Former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak praised President Joko Widodo's tour to three East Asian countries, including Japan, South Korea, and China.
Najib considers Jokowi's tour to East Asia, especially to China to meet President Xi Jinping, as a form of exemplary diplomacy.
Through his Facebook post, Najib considered that Indonesia was progressing economically considering that Jokowi continued to take "proactive steps" in approaching strategic countries regarding trade and investment cooperation.
"China is our largest and main trading partner, and we also receive huge profits in the palm oil business, infrastructure, digital economy, and various investments from China. Like Indonesia today," Najib said.
"That was one of the main reasons why I maintained and strengthened our relationship with the leaders of other countries while I was prime minister," he said.
Najib also said that when he was still in charge of Malaysia, during his leadership, Malaysia was able to resolve the crisis with several world leaders. He also claims local companies have even asked for his help to facilitate foreign investment.
