Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Secretary of National Police Commission, Benny Jozua Mamoto conveys the appreciation for the success of Damai Cartenz Operation in Papua. The operation itself demonstrates concrete evidence of the government commitment in eradicating terrorism in Papua committed by the Armed Criminal Group. During his visit to Papua Regional Police on April 3rd, 2024, Benny told that the success of Damai Cartenz Operation is the demonstration of government commitment in providing safety and security to the people of Papua. He stressed that the operation is a representation of the government in restoring the security in Papua, and the success it achieved marks the proof of the commitment and effectiveness of the strategies taken. Moreover, Papuan community also appreciates the success of the operation and have felt the positive impact of the success. The appreciation from the National Police Commission and the locals stressed the importance of joint effort between the government and the people in overcoming security threats. On that occasion, Head of Damai Cartenz Operations, Senior Superintendent Faizal Ramadhan says that in restoring the security in Papua, Damai Cartenz Ops Task Force have uncovered various cases involving Armed Criminal Group. Furthermore, Faizal explains throughout 2024, the ops have successfully enforced the law against 5 Armed Criminal Group members, secured three guns, and 117 bullets, along with 3 magazines. Meanwhile, there are 4 members of the Armed Criminal Group involved in gun combat with the security officials. “I am sure what we have done through this operation is concrete evidence of us trying to restore peace and security of Papua,” said Faizal.
