Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Damai Cartenz Ops Task Force was commended and appreciated for its performance in securing the democratic process in the nine operational areas of Damai Cartenz Ops. The statement was conveyed by Poengky Indarti, member of National Police Commission during her visit to Papua Regional Police HQ on Wednesday (4/3/2024). In its operation, Damai Cartenz Ops was tasked to secure the nine operational areas that covers Papua Province, Papua Mountains Province, and Central Papua Mountains. The nine operational areas are Yahukimo, Mimika, Intan Jaya, Dogiyai. Puncak, Nduga, Mimika, Jayawijaya, and Jayapura City. Poengky acknowledges that the role of Damai Cartenz Ops Task Force in securing the election process in February is excellent. “They did the right procedure in their operation. Members stationed in the nine regions, other than being tasked to enforce the law against criminals, are also able to secure the democratic process so well,” said Poengky. She hopes that the Ops would perform much better in the future and continue in guaranteeing the safety of Papua. On the other hand, Head of Damai Cartenz Ops, Senior Superintendent Faizal Ramadhani says that during the election process, his party has carried out various steps to ensure the nine operational regions are safe, and the election could run smoothly. Faizal noted that compared to the 2019 General Election, the 2024 General Election is far more secure than the previous one as there are no significant disturbances. (ad/inp/pr/nm)
