inp.polri.go.id -  The National Police Traffic Corps have mapped around 27,000 locations that will become their focus location in securing the Christmas and New Year Eve holiday. This step is taken to anticipate and preparing police ranks in the area to guard and secure the area. The Head of National Police Traffic Corps, Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi, says there are several things that that will be listed for future improvements, including rest areas, both towards Java and Sumatra. Then increasing the number of passangers, because the police are well aware of the high enthusiasm of the community in celebrating the holidays. “We are anticipating and reminding the ranks in the area to be prepared in facing last year’s holiday,” said the Head of National Police Traffic Corps in a coordination meeting with Commission V DPR RI in discussing about the preparation of infrastructures and transportation during Christmas and New Year Eve, Tuesday (12/13). He stated that they are going to focus on four locations in Christmas and New Year Eve security operations. It includes toll roads, artery roads, and tourist destination areas. He also hopes that the holidays would not increase the Covid-19 cases.
