Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Traffic Corps has officially launched Operation Zebra 2025, a coordinated traffic enforcement campaign running nationwide from 17 to 30 November 2025.
The operation aims to improve safety conditions ahead of the Christmas and New Year holiday travel surge.
“Starting today, Operation Zebra 2025 is being carried out simultaneously. This is a regional autonomous operation, so each area will adjust targets based on local conditions,” said Traffic Corps Operations Chief Senior Superintendent Aries Syahbudin on Monday (17/11/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
He explained that the operation is guided by three key parameters. First, ensuring ideal road conditions for drivers, vehicles, and infrastructure ahead of the holiday season, particularly as mass travel to tourist destinations is expected. Second, enforcement will be data-driven, with regions focusing on their dominant violations, accident patterns, and high-risk zones. Third, the crackdown targets illegal street racing and improving pedestrian protection, in line with directives from the Korlantas Chief.
Additional personnel from Highway Patrol units have been deployed to support regions including Banten, Jakarta, and West Java, while public awareness campaigns will intensify throughout the two-week operation.
